They have been working for 18 months with the municipal, state and federal authorities on kitchens for Los Cabos but with the economic situation, GART has decided to create a grass root program with the residents providing the labor and GART sourcing supplies and funding. The new kitchen has the support of the State DIF, which will provide kitchen utensils and CCC, Caracol and Bimbo will extend their La Paz product donations to Los Cabos. The student's mothers will prepare and serve, and GART is hoping to get sponsors for the food. $200 pesos a month or $2500 pesos per year will feed a child a healthy breakfast every school day. This program has been feeding 300 hungry kids in La Paz for two years. Construction materials are needed for the 6x6 meter kitchen. Contact Ray Thomas at La Paz cell phone 612 157 6225.
